Call For Speakers - EN

From Projects – Towards Products

Call for Speakers is open! (Submission Form)

with Keynotes from Joe Justice and Roman Pichler.

Date 12. September 2012
Time 08.30 bis 17.00 Uhr, followed by apéro
Location ETH, Zürich

To develop software products instead of carrying out projects means to focus on the full product life cycle. Projects end upon reaching their last milestone. Products and services continue to delight with their value. Time to market; high quality; meet the business plan: these are the topics on a CxO’s agenda. Delighting customers with continuous flow and working deliverables. Be it XP, Agile, Scrum, Kanban or Lean Management: the product is the central goal.

The organizers, the SwissICT „Lean, Agile & Scrum“ group, once again seek to bridge the gap between C-level executives, managers, project leaders, business analysts, developers, and testers and connect the management perspective with the view from the trenches.

The conference starts with a keynote with free admission in the morning. The paid part of the conference takes off from 10:00 with 90-minute tutorials on the likes of Scrum, Lean and Kanban. The afternoon sessions open with a second keynote, followed by several 45-minute sessions in parallel tracks.

We are proud and happy to have the following internationally renowned experts as keynote speakers:

  • Joe Justice is the founder of WIKISPEED, a company whose vision is to bring an affordable, ultra-efficient racing car to the market by means of crowd sourcing and agile development practices.
  • Roman Pichler is an expert on agile and lean product management and Scrum. His latest book is called „Agile Product Management with Scrum: Creating Products that Customers Love“. Packed with hands-on advice and real-world stories, it describes agile product management concepts and techniques.

For the conference we seek exciting contributions on topics such as:

  • Agile product development in software development
  • Changing mindsets in project organization and product development
  • Enthusing customers with great products
  • Using Kanban in software development and operations.
  • Methods and tools for scaling Lean, Agile and Scrum for large and distributed teams.
  • Agile requirement engineering and testing in the entire product life cycle
  • Human and social factors of the agile approach
  • Techniques and practices to improve effectiveness and efficiency

We invite everybody interested to submit an abstract of his or her contribution. Your presentation is required to be in German or English. Submission deadline is March 15, 2012.
